April 26-27: Jin Xing Dance Theatre with the Stanford Symphony Orchestra and Stanford Symphonic Chorus. This Chinese dance company splashes onto the American scene with a sensual performance of Red and Black, Half Dream and an interpretation of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana like you’ve never seen before. The lavish and colorful production, led by Jin Xing, an award-winning transgender Chinese choreographer, features an impressive 300-plus artists onstage in a pageant-like performance that’s sure to raise a few goose bumps in the audience.
